Event Terms And Condition

​​Payment Terms

 

Payment is required in full at the time of registration via the online payment portal or within 14 days of an invoice being issued. All invoices must be settled prior to the event. Registrations received within 14 days of the commencement of the event need to be settled immediately. Failure to make payment as required may result in cancellation of registration.

A registration is not confirmed until payment has been successfully received. Failure to complete payment may result in the registration not being accepted or being cancelled. No invoices will be issued unless requested.

Tax Information

​

The applicable contracting entity, currency and VAT/GST registration details will be identified on the invoice.

 

Unless otherwise stated in the applicable invoice or transaction documentation:

  • customers located in the United Kingdom, European Union and other jurisdictions will contract with Governology Limited, a company incorporated in England and Wales; and

  • customers located in Australia will contract with Governology Pty Ltd, an entity incorporated in Australia.

 

Where applicable, services supplied or events held in the European Union may be invoiced through Governology Limited, which is registered for Belgian VAT purposes under VAT Registration No. BE 1040.194.049.

Cancellation and Substitution Policy for Events (Face-to-Face and Virtual)


A full refund will be provided for all cancellations received in writing at least two weeks prior to the event. No refunds will be given for any cancellations within two weeks of the event or for non-attendance on the day. Registrant substitutions may be made at any time subject to the communication to, and approval by, Governology. For delegate substitutions provided 21 calendar days prior to an event, there is no guarantee given that special dietary requests can be accommodated

Any refunds given for cancellations received within a month of the event will be at the discretion of Governology. Delegate substitutions may be made at any time subject to the communication to, and approval by, Governology. For delegate substitutions provided 21 calendar days prior to a Conference, there is no guarantee given that special dietary requests can be accommodated​

No Right to Record Events or Distribute Materials

Event attendees cannot video or audio record presentations without Governology's consent.

 

Photographs may be taken of presentations and shared on social media, with the exception of where Governolgoy has expressly advised  permission of the presenters is required.

​

Any communications made through social media must also comply with the Social Media Guidelines. 

 

Photography or Recording of Events by Governology


Governology events may be photographed or recorded by Governology or hired third parties. Photos of attendees of Governology events may be used in our marketing materials.

 

If you do not want your image used in our marketing materials, please advise us in writing at info@governology.org.

Attendees List


By registering to attend an event, your name will appear on our attendee list.

​

Governology takes the need to protect your credit card details seriously. We do not store your credit card details.

 

Programme Amendments and Refunds.

Governology reserves the right to make any necessary changes to the programme including cancelling the event where required. A full refund will be provided in this instance.

Conduct at Events


Governology in its absolute discretion, reserves the right, without any liability, to refuse admission to, or to remove any attendees from an event.


This includes, without limitation, circumstances where the attendee fails to comply with these Terms and Conditions or in the opinion of Governology, represents a security risk, nuisance, disruption or annoyance to the event.

Social Media Guidelines


For social media conversation to be an enjoyable experience for all interested parties, certain basic rules should be respected.


Be Respectful of Speakers and Other Participants
Attendees must ensure that any online communications reflect openness, responsiveness, integrity and optimism. Attendees use social media under their own responsibility.


Always respect the dignity and privacy of colleagues, attendees and staff (e.g., venue staff, volunteers and event partners). Harassing, intimidating, offensive, abusive, threatening, menacing or hostile content will not be tolerated.


Respect the Speakers and Do Not Share Certain Content Online
Our event speakers may present information that is not for publication. We respect the speakers’ right to explicitly request that certain presentations, slides, or findings be left out of the social media conversation and this must be respected by all event attendees.

When sharing event speakers’ content, please take care to accurately represent the information shared and provide the necessary context if required.​​
