About the Event

Following 7 years running UK-based Association of Translation Companies, Raisa McNab is now also the General Secretary of the European Union of Associations of Translation Companies (EUATC). EUATC, a Belgian Association Internationale Sans But Lucratif(AISBL), is the umbrella body for national associations of language service companies throughout Europe.

Issues to be considered in this webinar are:

  • European association management using distributed teams

  • Advantages and challenges of being a federation of national bodies compared to a direct-membership association

  • Assisting or establishing national associations of translation and language services companies throughout Europe

  • Involvement with a Belgium-based association from outside the country

  • How governance works across potentially 27 nations

This webinar will be a dynamic “fireside chat” with Raisa and John Peacock of Governology rather than a formal presentation.
